Text Box: At the heart of the DSP400 is Tellima's high-performance T-Core technology based around DSPs and FPGAs. The 400MIPs performance and high-speed Ethernet communications takes the DSP400 real-time control capabilities beyond those of a high-end PLC, but at a fraction of the cost. The on-board industrial I/O including high-speed counter/timers is sufficient for many applications but can be expanded with the addition of expansion modules via a high-speed serial interface. Integral 10/100-BaseT Ethernet communications make the units ideal for the distribution of I/O and control functionality around large high-speed machines such as automated warehousing and high-speed materials handling systems. Supervisory PCs and HMIs are readily integrated into the system via the Ethernet connection.
